Getting the Best Results from the Scraper

How to write keywords and choose locations for maximum lead quality.

Keyword strategy

The keyword is how Outboundr searches Google Maps. Think of it as the search term a customer would use to find this type of business.

Effective keywords:

  • Specific and descriptive: "schildersbedrijf", "dakdekker", "schoonmaakbedrijf"
  • Service-focused: "loodgieter amsterdam", "electrician rotterdam"
  • Avoid brand names: you want categories, not individual companies

Running multiple keywords:

You can run separate jobs for similar keyword variations to improve coverage:

  • "painters Amsterdam"
  • "painting companies Amsterdam"
  • "decorators Amsterdam"

Outboundr deduplicates across jobs, so overlapping results won't create duplicate leads.

Location targeting

Use specific cities, districts, or regions. Broader locations (e.g. "Netherlands") return lower-quality results because Google Maps results become less reliable at scale.

Recommended pattern:

  • City by city: Amsterdam → Rotterdam → Utrecht → Den Haag → Eindhoven
  • Each job: 150–400 high-quality, geographically relevant leads

Target type filtering

Use target types to filter leads by what contact info they have before import:

  • Has phone — Required for cold calling
  • Has website — Required for website-specific outreach
  • Has email — Required for email sequences

Filtering upfront saves time reviewing leads that can't be reached the way you need.
