Building a Campaign
Steps, delays, A/B tests and sending from your own domain.
Before you start
Email steps only go out automatically when Settings → Integrations → Automatic emails → Campaign follow-ups is switched on. It is off by default.
Steps
A campaign is a sequence of steps, each with a delay in days:
- Email: sent on schedule
- Call: puts the lead on the call list with the script for that step
Start from a template in the gallery, such as "Email + 2 follow-ups", or build your own. LinkedIn steps are coming later. As soon as a lead replies, its remaining steps stop.
A/B testing
Each email step can have a variant B with its own subject and body. Set the split, and the campaign shows which variant gets the better reply rate.
Copy check
While you write, Outboundr checks length, spam words and the expected reply rate, so you can fix a step before it goes out.
Sending
Emails go out through your connected Gmail account, or on Pro and Agency from your own domain. Verify the domain under Settings → Integrations; Outboundr then warms it up, starting at 20 emails a day and rising step by step to 300 a day from day 28.
Once a domain is verified, every email goes out from that domain. The daily maximum counts all of them, for your whole team. When it is reached, campaign and automation emails wait until the next day; they never switch to Gmail. A reply or appointment confirmation you send yourself still goes out and counts towards the total. You see today's count on the Campaigns page and under Settings → Integrations.
Opened or not
For emails from your own domain, the campaign and the call list show per lead whether the last email was opened. This needs one extra DNS record, the Tracking record (links.yourdomain.com), which you find under Settings → Integrations once the domain is verified. Emails sent through Gmail cannot be followed: Gmail does not report opens, so those leads show "Opens not visible".
